Like you we’re really looking forward to the first series of Game of Wool on Channel 4.

In week one, we were nervously delighted to see the steeking technique mentioned but what is it?

Steeking has been around for a long time but is often regarded as a scary technique, mainly because you’re cutting into your work! In short, you knit your project in the round using circular needles, then cut up the centre to make an opening-like a cardigan for example.
